Applied Theatre

Jackie particularly enjoys working with teens to devise original works and has had the opportunity to do so with teen and theatre for social change groups in Atlanta, Chattanooga, Columbus, Omaha and San Francisco.
Jackie has worked as a director, facilitator, playwright and actor in multiple devised theatre projects.

- Pride Players #15, devised show with teens about LGBTQ issues with The Rose Theater
- Coffeehouse, a series of devised comedic sketches about teen issues with the Chattanooga Theatre Centre
- Dude, Where's My Planet , a piece exploring issues of cultural diversity with the Youth Creates program at 7 Stages International Theatre
- Bibb City, a piece exploring the history of the Columbus mill fire and the lives of the people who worked and lived there, with Columbus State University Department of Theatre
- Edges, a piece exploring the lives of a variety of people who identified themselves as social outliers, with the Columbus State University Department of Theatre
- New Stories, a piece exploring the issue of homelessness in Columbus, with the Columbus State University Department of Theatre, Student Showcase Series
